Regional Campus students have access to free and confidential Student Health and Wellness (SHaW) services that support their mental, physical, and overall wellbeing, including counseling, crisis intervention, case management, nurse navigation, wellness workshops, referrals, and telehealth options.

The campus environment can be exciting and challenging. It can also be highly stressful since social and emotional concerns can interfere with effective functioning and academic performance.
We offer a holistic and collaborative model of care including Nurse Navigation and Mental Health Services. We also specialize in providing support to first-generation college students. We hope you find SHaW’s services to be a welcoming place that provides services to help you be a successful student and a happy and healthy person!
Immunizations
Our Mental Health Support line offers free State of Connecticut General Statutes require each full-time or matriculating student born after December 31, 1956, to provide proof of adequate immunizations.
Student Health Fee
All students enrolled at UConn’s campuses are required to pay a Student Health and Wellness Fee. This fee supports essential services related to students’ health and wellness.

University Closures or Cancellation of Classes
When there is cancelation of classes, delayed opening or early dismissal, students should check their email for secure messaging about their appointment status. For additional questions about your medical appointment, please call 860-486-4700.

Regional Nurse Navigators
A nurse navigator is a nurse that can guide students, offer support, education, advocate, and assist with coordination of care for acute or chronic healthcare needs including referrals to medical services in the community. A nurse is available for students on campus or through our 24/7 advice nurse line at 860-486-4700. This is a free and confidential resource.
Mental Health Clinicians
Our mental health professionals can provide short-term counseling. For students seeking more intensive treatment, our mental health clinicians can connect students to appropriate local providers with experience working with college students.
Health Promotion Services
Creating a culture of health and wellness at UConn through interpersonal and community based approaches. Wellbeing is supported through evidence-informed practices including harm reduction, health promotion and direct services. We provide many wellness workshops topics including:

Regional Campus Wellness
